Realta Nua Patch version 4.1

MegaShares (Single File)

4.2 has been released. If you really want 4.1, the password for the MediaFire downloads is 123.

----

Every bug brought to my attention since 4.0 was released has been fixed, including the locale and Last-Episode-at-start problems. Unlike the last version, 4.1 includes novoice.xp3. There's also a new file called galleryfix.xp3, which fixes a problem with the gallery that you'll get should you choose to remove the patch. Make sure to read the section in the readme about it.

Thanks to everyone for posting bugs.

Trying out MegaShares as a host. They only allow you to download 250mb but that's enough for this. They say they have limited download speed, but I was getting between 1.6 and 2 Mbps testing the link.

Never mind, this doesn't fix the Last Episode problem because I forgot to include the file that fixes it.

  1. Thanks for the patch :)
I just started up Last Episode and I noticed that the text itself appears, but the window behind it doesn't.

Is it supposed to be like that?

  2. err, hasn't it been like that?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Yes. You'll notice this also happens in certain parts of other scenes in the patch.

  4. err, can we remove the fix from last post?

    ReplyDelete
  5. I see.I just asked because the last patch I have used (3.2) had the text window on Last Episode :P

  6. is it just me, but theres no longer any sound effect. I can hear voice and music but no sound effect

    ReplyDelete
  7. correction, early in "last episode", and I think, throughtout the "last episode" there were sound gaps

    ReplyDelete
  8. There aren't any sounds in Last Episode until after the "Fate" image fades in.

    ReplyDelete
  9. oh, thought there were, o well

  10. Thanks for the patch!
Are you planning on including the Realta Nua Openings as well? If not, that's fine, but I'm just curious as to if it's possible...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Possibly eventually, if a solution to them not working well with Windows 7 is found.

    ReplyDelete
  12. ...They don't work well to begin with on any Windows unless you're in fullscreen on a widescreen monitor, but, meh....

    ReplyDelete
  13. Ahh...Without the "new temporary fix", the last episode still appear, at least on my computer. The crash error I told you hasn't been fixed yet, here is the screenshot:

  14. Make sure this patch is at the very end. Do not mess with the order and put things after it. Then try again.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Upon inspection, I did indeed forget to stick the script that had the Titile fix in 4.1. Ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Thanks. The error of being crashed at the scence is fixed. But why the Last Episode still appear. It didn't crash, but its appearance before finishing the game is nonsense...
And also, what is the galleryfix? It is the tool that change the gallery back to the original one?

    ReplyDelete
  17. The file that fixes it is in the updatedfix, so you can use that for now. I need to track down the thing I did to fix it, then I guess I'll upload... 4.11?

About gelleryfix, read the section on it in the readme.

  18. Sooooo... when can we expect the ero-replacement scenes? In version 4.5/5.0?

    ReplyDelete
  19. 5.0. Bug fixing aside, I don't intend on doing another release until they're done.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Should I uninstall the patch 3.2 before installing this one? If so, how can I do that?

    ReplyDelete
  21. You don't need 3.2, but I would wait a bit on installing this until I fix a bug.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I seem to have a problem unlocking the CG on day 13 of the Fate path, the one where Saber is wiping Ilya's cheek.

Or rather, in that scene (Training swordsmanship-Lunchtime Saber IV), the CG never shows up at all?

    ReplyDelete
  23. You're in the wrong scene. The CGs are in the Lunchtime scene on Day 12.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Why 4.11? In my opinion, it is no need to upload a new version. Why don't you upload something like "Version 4.0 Service Pack 1" to reduce file size. It's a pity to download a big patch to reduce such some minor update.
About the ero-replacing patch, i think that it should be seperated from this one to make user easily install and uninstall it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. There already is a "service pack". The 4.0 temp fix fixes the problem. If you don't want to download a new version, you don't have to. This would just be for people who don't already have it, or want to cut down on the number of patches in their folder.

    ReplyDelete
  26. i didn't say that. I think that it 's noneed to upload a new version (4.11 as you said) just to fix some minor bugs

    ReplyDelete
  27. There is a reason. It's more convenient to download 1 file rather than 2, and it helps guarantee that if this ever gets posted somewhere that person isn't going to just get the 1 bugged 4.1 link. I would argue there's no reason NOT to upload a new one.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I have another question: Are there any CGs missing up till now?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not included yet are most of the new CGs from the Another gallery, the ero-replacement CGs, the Prologue CGs, some new variations of some old CGs, and an explosion CG from Fate.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Also, I noticed the lack of some Realta Nua new CG variations as:

    http://img30.imageshack.us/i/data24133.png/

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yeah, that's what I meant by "some new variations of some old CGs".

    ReplyDelete
  32. For the variations, are you going to use the original PC CG image as a base, and then edit in the variation only in the area of the image where it's changed? This would allow higher detail and resolution.

If you're not, heck then I maybe would. :P (especially since I'm pretty sure there's not THAT many, like 5 to maybe 10?)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, that what's I've been doing for new sprites and variations I've already added.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm getting no music/sound with the UBW background on the main menu. What's up with that?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Man Waku Waku, you're doing that AND using Q9 OGG vorbis?! You seem nearly as much of a sucker for future-proofing as as I am! XD

    YOU. ROCK.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Federico: The UBW title screen has no music in the PS2 version.

Nintendo Maniac 64: To be fair there's only like 3 ogg files in this patch. The choice came down to wav that would loop correctly, or ogg that wouldn't.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Wait, so you have most music in freakin uncompressed WAV?! (it's just that in version 3.0, all the music was in ogg vorbis)

XD I swear I'm having a nerdgasm now

And for good measure, it's safe to assume that these RN images and the RN music come from lossless sources, correct?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well, when it's ripped from the game disk...

    ReplyDelete
  39. That doesn't mean it's ripped to a lossless format. Also, as for audio, I would assume he actually used the OSTs as the source (it's a whole lot easier).

    ReplyDelete
  40. This is a Hurr-Durr question, but after this patch will we be able to start the game without App-Locale?

    ReplyDelete
  41. If anyone is ripping something straight from a game to a lossy format, something's wrong. The normal process is to do a direct, lossless, and generally uncompressed rip and then to encode/convert/whatever word fits the media in question/etc. to another format. If someone thinks that's not what's happening, it's just that they're using a program which does both steps for them automatically in a row.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Also, in general, when doing game ports, no, using the OSTs is in no way easier, and in fact would be harder, mainly because the timing on the loopset would be off.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I rejoice in that applocale is no longer needed. Yet I have a question about an image that isn't appearing in the gallery, and just curious if it is part of the ones you didn't put in or not.

When Shirou Fights Dark saber in the "fake" saber-esque ending at the end of Heaven's Feel, (the one where shirou dies without riders help), there is an image of Dark Saber slashing. I do not see it shown in the gallery, is it present anywhere?

    ReplyDelete
  44. http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/3552/29762343.jpg
That's the one you mean, correct? It unlocks right before the line "She unleashes her fatal attack". I checked it on an UBW save, and it definitely unlocks correctly.

Anyway, I got the file that fixes the title menu bug. Hyarion also made a script that extracts the audio files from the disk, and I discovered I was incorrect in some sound effect choices, so I'm going to make that 4.11 a 4.2 and it'll contain the correct sounds.

  45. Alright i am new to Fate/Stay Night game. So I downloaded the game, I installed english with relta nua with disc, so Can someone explain what these Patches are for?
