Progress Report

Well this is the progress update that I said was coming "soon" and then took 3 months. (Keep this in mind when I give time frames) The good news is that I'm done shoving in the RN bgm which was probably the biggest hump towards the next release.

With that said, these next couple months are going to be pretty busy for me so this project will mostly be on hold until Summer.

    1. More songs,more cgs, more animations and a new ending when you you complete all the routes.

  4. !!! This is still alive! :D

    Is there any chance we'll see an H-Alt HF patch sometime this year? There's this.... thing.. for Fate and UBW ( http://forums.mirrormoon.org/viewtopic.php?t=1488 ), but what little "censoring" there is is non-existant for HF.

  5. Ah, so your time frames mean the same as they always have and what everyone who has ever worked on a Type-Moon VN has meant when using them. Still sticking with it, I see. I keep telling people all the time what "soon" actually means for these things, but they never seem to believe me. Maybe now they will listen and stop nagging with the "is it done yet" constantly for every single Type-Moon VN patch that still is in the works somewhere now that you've said it yourself, lol.

  6. Thank you so much for this update, it gave us hope. F/SN even after 8 years since the original release, the legendary Fate/Stay Night keeps getting better. A heartfelt appreciation for you, Waku and all those working on this project.

  9. oh yeah! it seem to be worked!
    So, here is new version of the RN OP patch for you j.mp/ZrfEp2
    Cant tell for sure will this be added to main RN patch or no, but while Waku Waku is busy, I'd like to hear if it works at all.
    However if you're not familiar with directshow filterchain and can't guarantee that you have no codec conflicts or something, I most likely won't be able to help if patch does not work for you.

    1. i tried your patch and it works but it plays the old OP first than plays the new OP as soon as the old one ends. dont know if its a bug or i did something wrong when patching it but other than that minor thing it works pretty good

    2. Oh my! Again my comments disappearing! I believe I answered you. I start to feel that this may be somehow related to my adblock...

      Anyway what you see is by design. The goal was to add new OPs and keep old ones. It does feels weird a bit, but I prefer to keep these OP's at original places.

  10. There was an error at the beginning of the Unlimited Blade Works Route where I was fighting Berzerker in the graveyard with Saber. After the error pop up, there is no words displayed on the screen I can still load another game or scroll back to previous lines but I can't advance through the story. For the Berzerker battle, I choose to "stay here" and then "go to the cemetery". The crash happens right after Berzerker loses his balance while fighting Saber.

    1. No translation actually needed. Translation by MirrorMoon can be reused. Well, maybe except some parts that was changed. From the first look there is not that many of them.
      I tried to insert MM's translation just to see how hard it is. Well, not that hard, I have some ideas about semi-automatic method of doing it that among other things includes cleaning insani's wordcrap and implementing proper wordwrap. But taking that aside there is still a lot of monotonous work that is not fun at all. Besides, dunno about you, but I really hate how they split the VN in 3 parts and probably I'll end up joining everything back. But that's more work. Then inserting uncensored ero-scenes... this is the most important part! (*´▽`*) But I haven't done any research on that and dunno how hard that would be.

      But if Waku Waku or someone else is up for this task - good luck. But I think this project would require more than one guy don't want to wait another year.

      Oh BTW, here is a product of my investigation - patch that translates 1/5 of the FSN [RN] -Fate- prologue.

    2. I meant 1/5 of the first day, not of the entire prologue.
      BTW, I'm not happy with sound quality in official RN PC Port. Waveform seems to be cutoff. I think audio from PS2 was better... maybe just my imagination, but if this will require fixing too then the final patch will include like 60-80% of the entire VN ^__^

  13. Hey, buddy, I just saw your patch and I saw the result in the game and I loved it! I really would love for the game were translated (Minus hentai scenes, I realize that have not yet been translated)

    If you want i can help you to copy the translation, but you must teach me how do it!

    1. About help, unfortunately I'm not sure if I can teach you how to help. Even though it can be done semi-automatically and there is no actual "insertion" of the English text, main work is a matching text row numbers, parts of the text that was changed still may require basic understanding of the engine. And in this case I won't be able to tell what is right without actually looking at it myself.

      To clear any possible misunderstandings, in my previous posts I tried to say that inserting MirrorMoon's translation is easy, one day in VN can be done in like one hour of the real time, assuming there is no changed lines, but the amount of work is still more than amount of motivation I have. So I am not working on it.
      But it looks like, Waku Waku is working on it, so everything is cool.

  14. I actually started working on this myself as well. Currently I have the prologue and (almost) the first 2 days of Fate done. I'm planning on making a blog post about it Monday or Tuesday
