New patch. There's no new scenario progress in the one, just error corrections and system text insertion. All system text should now be English. If you see any Japanese in menus or tool tips or I guess anywhere outside of the story please let me know.
Also depending on what fonts you have installed there are a couple more options in the config menu.
You'll notice there are 3 patches now. This is mostly to keep types of files separated for my convenience. Just throw them all in the folder.
Sorry I took so long with this. I've been a bit busy and it turned out to be more work than I thought. Hopefully next week I'll have the patch for reinserting Fate's H-scenes done, but it might take longer.

Yeah, I don't really know how the word wrapping works so I'm not sure how to fix that. I have a better but not great fix I'll use for the H-scene patch but for now it'll stay like that in the base patch.
DeleteWell, I believe I already commented on this. From the perspective of the wordwrap this is a one word, so it won't wrap it. So it should be split on some more lines.

There will probably be a patch 7 with a couple changes, but that will probably be the last one for Fate (except for error correction) until I get the H-alternate translations. So yes. those scenes are going to be left untranslated for now. I'll remove the deleted lines for 7.

It was when Arturia came out from inside Angra Mainyu and fight Saber ALter. I read it in the wiki though.

Those CGs you have are Fate/Unlimited codes scenes. F/UC is a Ps2 and PSP game based on the story of Fate/stay night.
DeleteThat scene you are interested in happens at the end fight of Saber Alter's story, that is if you choose Saber Alter as your playable character. That did not happen in RN.

ReplyDeleteThis new "Realta Nua" PC patch is to be applied to the Japanese Realta Nua PC version, right? But this means there are new scenes, and H scenes removed.
So when you say you are re-adding the H-scenes does it mean it's all Realta Nua content PLUS the H content, all rolled into one (minus the new script since you're still copying over new scripts).
Are there new "Realta Nua" scenes that are untranslated? Or it's just about minor changes to the script?
Is this patch only for "Fate", and so not for the other two chapters? Are the other two going to be done soon or this project is just about the Fate route?

DeleteOutside of the stuff that replaced H content there are no scenes that haven't been translated. There are some minor changes otherwise, some of which have been translated. I'll try to get all of them translated but so far they've all been really minor so it's not a top priority.
Once I'm done with the H content patch Fate will go on hold and I'll move to UBW. I plan on doing all three.
Why are you adding the H scenes instead of the RN replacements?
DeleteWasn't the point of the old RN PC patch to replace those scenes? And especially, I thought the old RN PC patch was meant to add all the RN content like new CGs and stuff. So does it mean that this new PC release of RN adds stuff that wasn't already in the PS2 version of RN?
In a post from 2010 you write:
"All h-alt scenes are now translated, along with all known non-ero changes through the end of Unlimited Blade Works."
So since you're already doing the effort, why don't you add that content instead of obsolete H scenes?
I don't have all of the translations. Hyarion has them but he wants to get the QC'd and last I heard he was having some personal issues so I don't know when that will happen. The H-scenes are being added in the meantime to make this readable and for people who would prefer to have them over the all-ages stuff.
DeletePC Realta Nua doesn't have anything the PS2 version didn't have. While the old patch was indeed meant to add RN content, Realta Nua runs on a newer version of the engine and uses effects that don't work as well, if at all, on the old FSN. What you see in the old patch is me trying to get as close as I can with things that do work with sometimes mixed results. The old patch is also pretty incomplete and while I will be adding more to it once I finish with Realta Nua, everything it adds will honestly be inferior to this patch.
But Hyarion got translation from who? TakaJun? So maybe TakaJun still have a copy left.
DeleteWhat personal issues could stop someone from taking 1 minute to upload stuff somewhere and provide a link. QC is the reason? There is plenty people who can do QC here.

- The old RN PC patch backported some RN content, but not all, and with mixed results.
- Hence the new RN PC is a more complete RN version (that to be perfect would need the alt-H scenes).
Yet I wonder why in a comment I was reading:
"The explosion CGs were not present in the PC version. Indeed, there are many additional CGs and effects in the RN."
Additional CGs sound like something should have been already part of the old RN PC patch.
The old patch is incomplete. There are still some CGs it doesn't include.
