Fixed a couple more bugs, like the one in the previous post's comments and a different one that I noticed from XerBlade's YouTube upload that caused the second wave of clouds to not appear.
There were also a couple small changes to the recap, and then some corrections to spelling and grammar courtesy of wingzero.
Big thanks to nghtmrsrph for helping with one of the bugs.
I ran through every scene multiple times with both voiced and voiceless to make sure there weren't any more bugs, but if you happen to find any please post them here.

The Japanese used 彼, which is kind of vague. It might be referring to Merlin.

Im using 2 official patch. So I rename rn3_2.xp3 to patch3.xp3 and put it into Fate folder in programfiles. But it does not work in full voice.
I have to use translated English patch to make it full voice?
As far as I know, the only way to put in voices is to use mirror moon's patch, and it will only have voices if it's in English.

Hey, I'm in need of a bit of help.
ReplyDeleteBasically, I'm installing the Realta Nua patch as instructed, but almost nothing changes. While I'm getting the "Last Episode" scene in the opening menu with no problems, no extra CGs and no voices are appearing during play, and everything is pretty much the same.
I do have the latest Mirror Moon patch installed.
I should say that I'm trying to install it after completing all 5 of the Good/True Ends. Do I need a completely fresh install for this to work or something?

ReplyDeleteI was about to say that the two saves (data 280,281) do have the new CGs in them. From all my previous saves though, nothing seems to change with my previous saves, however.
Are the new CGs supposed to appear in the gallery, or does the gallery stay the same? I think that's the other thing confusing me.

ReplyDeleteDepending on where the old saves are, they might ignore the changes. You'll have to either use mine, or make new ones.
Ah, okay, that's cleared everything up. It should be that the saves are using the original game, not the one after the patch is input.

ReplyDeleteI found a bug. On mine, with your patch certain scenes make the game crash. One scene for me was starting down the UBW path when Archer fires his arrow at Berserker. When the explosion occurred, it crashed and gave me an empty popup box with an OK button.

I am on Windows7 RC, so I don't know if that made a difference or not.
I read something from ArchDemon that's lead me to think all of these crashes might be encryption related. I'm going to try to find something different to pack the xp3 files.

ReplyDeleteProbably the Archer summoning scene in the prologue, and some other stuff. Unless someone translates the ero scene replacements, there's not really anything "big" left to do, so until then the patch will probably be a large number of little things to try and make up for it.

It depends what you mean by "reinstalling". If you can track down the patch5 ad patch6 used for the voices, you can add them to your directory, run the installer, select the voices option, and it'll add the support for them.

It seems I had the same problem, but when I looked back, I didn't put the novoice to a higher patch number than the main patch. My suggestion would be to make sure that the novoice is higher than the main patch, as directed in the readme. If this does not help, I don't know what else to tell you.
I didn't even extract the no voice since I am using voices.

ReplyDeleteI read your question in BL about tlg converter. What kiri2 package did you use? I used kr219b15 and it worked. Make sure you mark the 3rd row in both first and second columns to convert it to tlg (I used .bmp as the source).
ReplyDeleteHey, there is something wrong with this patch. I'm on Unlimited Blade Works (Good Ending) arc and I am on day 14. That's after the big incidents that occured in the underground church. There is an error that follows up and I have NO idea what it says and I'm like ... URRRGGHHH!! What's going on man?!
ReplyDeleteNevermind, I figured it out. On that day, after the incident under the church just save your game on a new unsaved file, shut down the game (close it) and re-launch it and load it back up. Sorry about that, but there was that damn message for future reference.

ReplyDeleteSorry, you're right. I had them in the wrong order. It works now. Another thing, though. In the Last Episode, the 'Command Spell' was referred to as the 'Command Mantra'. The mirror moon patch refers to it as Spell, and you were going for consistency with their patch, right? Was it a slip-up, or did you just decide to go with the alternate 'Mantra' translation?

I have heard a lot of people wishing the whole game could be re-done like this, but that would be both difficult, long, tedious, and much more work than one person should have to undertake.
However, based on what you have done so far, I don't feel too terribly bad in asking for something in addition to all this wonderful work you've done for us.
As you can't not know, Realta Nua had more family friendly scenes to replace the (relatively few) hentai scenes in the game. Some of these scenes, from what I've seen, even included new art.
You can see where this is going, but I'll ask for the sake of it. What are the chances of us seeing those scenes added in a future patch? If low, are there any ways to increase said chances. Hit me back and let me know.
I'm interested in doing them, but they'd have to be translated first.

What I'm really not happy about is why wouldn't TYPE-Moon translate their stuff into English, they don't have to get it licensed to the US. We can just purchase it and be happy rather than cracking and patching, etc. Heh. =/ Keep the Japanese voices too.
The Last Episode translation was possible because it was already online in both Chinese and Japanese.
ReplyDeleteI've looked, but I can't find the ero-scene replacements transcribed online. wingzero translates from Chinese, so if there's not even a Japanese version online not only would I need another translator, but I'd need one who would have access to the game and can either transcribe it themselves or translate right from the TV screen.
So that's the current situation. I would need a translator willing to put in that much effort for the scenes.
Okay, so someone on mirror moon's forums is also having that same "crash when Archer fires his arrow in UBW" problem.

I's kinda awkward that Fate and UBW has its openings but HF not... Maybe you should relase it in another pacth, because it would be a big patch otherwise. But I think it's worth it, and it needs no translation. So what do you think?

ReplyDeleteoh by the way the mediafire file was cut off during uploading i'm assuming because it's 10 mb smaller than the rapidshare one. that should be the issue that some people are getting with unexpected end of file in the rar.
ReplyDeleteThe files are the same size. Rapidshare and Mediafire just measure differently (1000 vs 1024 bytes in a kilobyte). I haven't heard of anyone getting an error from the archive.

Nothing is changed. What is wrong?

I downloaded the mirrormoon's fate stay night v3.2 patch. Then downloaded this patch to get realta nua. Well it didn't work. So what I did was go to another website called nihonomaru and did what it told me. But it still doesn't work.... Help me I want realta nua very desperately now
What makes you believe that it isn't working? Did you go through the scenes listed in the post and they didn't get the new CGs? Did you not get the button for Last Episode when you cleared the endings? What?

ReplyDeleteWhen you run mirror moon's installer, on the "Choose Components" page, there is a check box next to "Realta Nua Voice Patch". That's what you're after.
It adds a patch4 through patch6, so you'll need to repaste in this patch afterwards. And once you have voices, don't use novoice.xp3.

I don't think anything bad will happen if you keep 2.0 in there, so you don't NEED to remove it, but you won't gain anything by having it.

I don't know if this will help your efforts or not, but after some googling I found a chinese site where they appaently have a finished RN patch, they were able to patch in Realta Nua movies and hack the gallery to insert RN pics, as well as BGM. Haven't actually tried it as my chinese is patchy at best, but if you speak Chinese or know someone who does maybe you could do something with it, or open up the .xp3 files to look at their methods?

but not
Realta Nua VOICE.xp3, as you can probably substitute MM's patch for that.
BTW patches will have to be renamed patch8.xp3 and so on. They may or may not work due to the fact that they were designed for the Chinese translation, but maybe you could adapt them?

Basically I'm in need of a lossless version of a CG and the RN CG pack around the intarwebs has too much JPG compression for my needs (I need to upscale the image to 2x or 3x the size - the jpg compression is really obvious at that size)

ReplyDeleteokay well it says it extract it into the FSN main directory, the game itself is installed but i dont know how to get the patch in the game, but it's extracted into a seprate folder and this is my first time doing something like this

most are shortcuts but the folder also has nothing but shortcuts which are the same thing
so i don't even know how to get to the directory
Right click on the Fate shortcut, and select "Open file location". That should get you to the main directory.

You can delete things like normal. Just select them and hit delete.

Yes, there are plans to eventually have all of them in.
ReplyDeleteI dont know if anyone had already said this but there was something text in Realta Nua which you probably didnt hear at the end of it. About 2-3 frames before Saber says welcome back shirou says I'm back(or I'm home, iunno) The text thats there says he struggled to get out some words but it sorta led to a blank. His voice is muffled by the bgm so you'll have to turn it down to hear it.

Wait, are you saying the "I'm back" is muffled, or that a different voice is?
ReplyDeleteThe VA for shirou was speaking in a very low voice and it was easy to not hear it over the bgm. Plus he only said one word which = "I'm back" In the 3.2 patch I have it doesn't have it in the text, it took me a while to even pick up on it cause his voice is so low. I had to play it 3 times before I noticed someone speaking. Shirou does say something though.

Also, the low volume might be do to the nature of the line. It's a sound effect rather than a voice, so if your SFX volume is low it would play low.
Yea I didnt see that on mine, weird. Everything else came out fine =S

You're trying to use the voiced version without a voiced game. You either don't have the novoice.xp3 or named it wrong.

patch2.xp3
patch3.xp3
You need to rename the main patch to patch4.xp3, and novoice to patch5.xp3.

ReplyDeleteI cleared all endings(all 5, and more of that, all 40 tiger endings), only some picture in gallery menu non displayed yet. Title menu changed(as well as should be), but button "last episode" has not appeared.

ReplyDeleteI installed game with the realta nua patch 3.2. In a folder with game there are files patch.xp3,patch2.xp3 ... patch6.xp3,patch7.xp3(patch7.xp3 was made from uncensored patch fsnucen.xp3)
ReplyDeleteTry moving the order so that the Realta Nua patch is the last one in the folder.

ReplyDeleteHm...This is sort of a dumb question,but will I lose any of the Original content of the game if i put this patch on?Or this will just add more things to the default game?
ReplyDeleteMostly adds, but in this version there are 2 CGs you won't be able to get while using it. They aren't anything important or special, though. They'll be unlockable in the next version but for now if you wanted them you could just load up the saves (one is in NBR, the other in All Evils) and CTRL through them again.
